Do you struggle with “emotional eating,” bingeing, restriction, bulimia, anorexia or any other problems with food? There is help! Do you live in the Maritimes? or anywhere in this world?
There is hope!
Overeaters Anonymous Intergroup Nova Scotia #09262 is a fellowship of many group members within the Atlantic provinces. We work together to help carry the message to fellow compulsive overeaters. The solution we have found to all our problems lie in the 12 Steps of OA.
It is our goal to be that beacon that shines out, like a lighthouse guiding you safely home from the tumultuous seas of compulsive overeating. There is hope!
If you feel you may have a compulsive eating problem, please take a look at the links above “To the Newcomer.”
To explain more of how we function within OA, you will find links below “About Us.”
As an Intergroup, we do not endorse, finance, or lend the OA name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property and prestige divert us from our primary purpose.

It is our primary purpose to help others who are struggling with compulsive eating and food behaviors, to carry the message of recovery through the 12 Steps of OA.”
We hope others too find the solution for recovery as we have. Recovery is possible; emotionally, physically and spiritually, one day at a time.
You are not alone.
Overeaters Anonymous is a Fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from compulsive overeating.
We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine; we take no position on outside issues.
Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.
